MakerBot Transforms 2D Into 3D Via New Shape Maker Feature in PrintShop 1.5 for iOS

Among the evolutions within the 3D printing space that we are still lacking, is the coming of easy-to-use, simplistic tools for creating 3D models. Tools which, as cliche as it might seem, even your grandmother could use, although I’m not discussing the normal CAD tools which have not been unavailable for a long time.

In July of a year ago, the world’s greatest desktop MakerBot, 3D printer maker, announced the launch of the PrintShop program for iOS. Any user that was iPad turned into a 3D modeling whiz, and has been evolving to include numerous new features. As MakerBot helps kick off 3D Print Week in New York City, they’ve pronounced their largest upgrade to the app yet.

MakerBot PrintShop version 1.5 has launched and it contains a new Shape Maker characteristic which turns 2D drawings into 3D printable models.
